WHO ARE WE?
NABD ALTAHKOM is a UAE-based company with a clear vision: to simplify and modernize everyday life through advanced technology. We specialize in designing, installing, and maintaining smart home systems, EV charging stations, and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) solutions. Whether you’re a homeowner, contractor, or business, we tailor our services to your needs — efficiently and reliably.
We provide a comprehensive portfolio of solutions to customers wanting to transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. Using our electric vehicle (EV) and charging efficiency expertise, we can advise clients on how to best realise their green objectives in the mobility space.
EV chargers compliant with all global standards enable a charging capability for any type of EV, from cars, trucks and buses to utility carts and material handling equipment. Working with our partners and utility companies to improve EV charging infrastructure and encourage mass adoption, we can create the right environment for a widespread transition from internal combustion engines to EVs and Plug-in Hybrid vehicles.
EV CHARGING TECHNOLOGY & INFRASTRUCTURE
NABD ALTAHKOM is a leading supplier of electric vehicle (EV) charging technology and infrastructure in the UAE. We offer a range of industry-leading EV chargers and charging stations, including AC Chargers and DC Fast Chargers, as well as EV charging management solutions for commercial, industrial, and public transportation fleets, and public parking and destination charging management systems.
INTRODUCTION TO EV CHARGING
An electric vehicle charging station, also called EV charging station, electric
recharging point, charging point, electronic charging station (ECS), and electric
vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), is an appliance that supplies electric energy
for the charging of electric vehicles, including electric passenger vehicles,
commercial vehicles, and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV).
TYPES OF EV CHARGERS
AC CHARGERS
AC chargers are the simplest and most common type of EV charger, found in
most homes and private spaces due to their low cost and straightforward
installation. When an AC charger charges an electric vehicle, the electricity is
converted into a DC current by the vehicle’s onboard rectifier. AC charging
rates are limited by the capacity of the EV's onboard rectifier, typically between
3.7 kW to 22 kW.
DC CHARGERS
In DC chargers, electricity is converted from AC to DC by the charging station,
which can handle a much higher capacity than an EV’s onboard rectifier. DC
Chargers range from 24 kW to 350 kW for superfast charging. As a result,
vehicles using DC chargers will charge faster.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE SUPPLY EQUIPMENT (EVSE)
An electric vehicle charging station, also called EV charging station, electric
recharging point, charging point, electronic charging station (ECS), and electric
vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), is an appliance that supplies electric energy
for the recharging of plug-in electric vehicles—including electric passenger
cars, carts and utility vehicles, and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV).
